Smartnews – New Alliance Launched and Key Technological Partnerships Explored with Leading Universities
A Bulgarian academic delegation visited China for the official launch of the China–Bulgaria Alliance for Cooperation in Education and Culture, held on April 24 at Nantong University. The initiative received significant media attention from CCTV International Online, China Daily, Xinhua News, Jiangsu Government Media, and several university outlets, highlighting the growing importance of Bulgarian–Chinese relations in the fields of innovation and modern education.
Meetings with High-Tech Universities and Innovation Centers
During the visit, the Bulgarian delegation held working meetings with four major Chinese universities known for their strong focus on new technologies and applied research:

Nantong University – an institution with over 40,000 students and strong programs in engineering, medical technology, intelligent systems, and modern management.

The Asia–Bulgarian Association for Cooperation played a key role in preparing and coordinating the visit. The association facilitated communication between both sides, supported organizational activities, and presented Bulgaria’s educational, cultural, and technological potential to its Chinese partners.
The new Alliance is the association’s first major project and already demonstrates strong potential to become a bridge for technological innovation between the two regions.
